The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum that:

"Promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural mental and physical development of pupils";

and

"Prepares pupils for opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life, regardless of age, background or gender."

Modern and traditional teaching methods are used and we strive to ensure that children's activities are interesting, stimulating and enjoyable, as well as being relevant to the needs of the individual child.

At St. Peter's, the teachers deliver the Foundation Curriculum in Reception and the National Curriculum in Years 1 to 6, to meet the statutory requirements in core subjects of RE, English, Maths, Science and ICT and Physical Education. The Foundation Curriculum consists of six early learning goals, these being language; social and emotional development; mathematics development; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development and creative development.
